Beautiful school & friendly staff
My four-year-old daughter is shy with strangers but extremely curious about learning new things. We have been thinking about starting Spanish classes in England as we visit Spain so often and thought that teaching her Spanish would be a great advantage for her future.
After planning a summer break to Madrid, we decided that we would make the most of our time and enrol her to learn Spanish at LAE Kids. I was a little sceptical as to how much she would progress with no English being used at all because she doesn’t speak a word of Spanish. I couldn’t have been more wrong! My daughter was playing and listening to instructions in Spanish, repeating words and phrases and interacting confidently within the first 10 minutes. I was astounded to see how her teacher helped motivate her, reward her and lead her to carry out the fun activities without using any English whatsoever.
She is really into counting and playing shop so the teacher set up a fruit shop where she had to count out the fruit, talking about colours and numbers in Spanish, without my daughter even realising that she was learning. She also loves painting and drawing so her and the teacher started drawing the fruit and colouring it in with the corresponding colours so my daughter could copy. She loved it and once she had finished her drawing she was able to take it home and now keeps it on her wall.
She was having so much fun and the one to one attention was exactly what she needed to come out of her shell. I also loved that she was learning Spanish like her first language, no writing or learning tenses but listening and interacting, the same was as we do in English when we want to teach her new things.
The school was beautiful and the staff were so friendly! Nothing was too much trouble and it was a safe and comfortable environment. She came away so excited and proud of what she achieved. When we finished the classes she continued to count and name colours in Spanish – I was so impressed after such a short time!
I can’t recommend LAE Kids enough and will definitely be enrolling my youngest son there too the next time we are in Madrid.

“My 6 yo son and 8 yo daughter attended in person while we were visiting Madrid and now take classes online with LAE. I could not recommend the school more highly. My kids loved their in-person classes (their only issue was that they thought the lessons were too short!) and their Spanish improved markedly. And now they love their online lessons. LAE’s teachers and teaching method make learning Spanish so much fun, the kids want to do it and work really hard. Plus, everyone we have worked with at LAE has been incredibly kind and professional. It has been a wonderful experience all around.”
