Sports for kids in Madrid
We are all familiar with football, volleyball or basketball, the typical sports children do at school. But, what if none of those really suit our children’s interests? In Madrid there are some less known sports that are becoming very popular among children and develop the same values and skills almost every sport does, like concentration, teamwork, responsibility, respect and perseverance. In this post, we will talk about five sports in Madrid that are incredibly fun and a good option as an extracurricular activity for your child.

Parkour
This is a training program that encourages fitness and skill development by using an obstacle course style training system.

Acrobatics
Have you ever taken your child to the circus and afterwards have him saying: “I want to do that!” Well, they can! In Madrid there are a couple of places in which your child can learn acrobatics and develop strength, flexibility, psychomotricity and many other skills! One of the most well-known academies is Fedriani.
Acrodance
This sport is the combination between acrobatics and dancing. This style is very popular in competitive dancing or in shows such as Cirque du Soleil, and children can prepare choreographies either individually or with other children. A nice place to practice it is Escuela Fama located quite close to LAE Kids’ centre.
Flamenco
If you are either visiting Madrid or living here with your children, signing them up to Flamenco lessons will be a great way for them to meet other children, speak Spanish and learn this beautiful, typical dance. Where? Música Creativa.
